Terms

The agreement, in plain words

Interim terms. These are being reviewed by our lawyers and may be updated before launch. If anything changes in a way that affects you, we will tell you before it applies.

Short, because the things that matter are few. Where these terms and our standards say the same thing, they mean the same thing.

Who we are

Well Introduced is operated by 13592791 Canada Inc., in Ontario, Canada, and works alongside local mosques. Mosques never pay us and never receive money from members.

Who can join

Adults (18 or older) who are Muslim, currently unmarried — never married, divorced or widowed — and seeking marriage. A parent or relative may start a profile, but only you can confirm it, with your own answers and consent. We may decline or close an account, and we will tell you honestly whether the answer is no or not yet.

Verification

Every member verifies a government ID with a live selfie through Stripe Identity. We keep the result, never your documents. What you tell us must be true; a profile that isn’t is closed.

How it works

We propose up to three people at a time who fit what you are looking for, and whom you fit too. Interest is shown only if it is mutual; photographs follow only then; contact details are exchanged only when you both agree. See how it works.

What you pay, and when

Joining is free. When you join you save a card; nothing is charged. Your plan — $49 a month + HST, or $249 for six months + HST — starts only once there are at least three members in the network who fit you. We email you three days before your first payment, and you can choose “Not now” instead, in which case nothing is charged and your profile is paused.

Once your plan has started it is a regular plan: the monthly plan is billed every month, and the six-month plan once for six months, whether or not a new proposal arrives in a given month. HST is charged at the rate for your province. There are no fees per proposal or per introduction.

The six-month plan does not renew automatically. At its end we show you a summary and your options, and you decide.

Cancelling, and refunds

Monthly plan: cancel any time from your membership page. It stops renewing, and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. We do not refund part-months.

Six-month plan: if you cancel within 14 days of the payment, we refund it in full. After that it is not refundable, and your account stays available until the end of the six months — except that if we close your account for a reason other than your own conduct, we refund the unused full months.

Either way, cancelling never cuts your membership short: you keep everything you have paid for until the end of that period, and there are no part-month refunds.

Nothing here limits any right you have under Ontario consumer-protection law.

What we do not promise

We do not promise you a marriage, a number of proposals, or a particular kind of person. We promise a serious, private process, run honestly. Anyone promising the rest is selling something else.

What we ask of you

That what you tell us is true. That you answer the people proposed to you — each proposal stays open for seven days. That you tell us, privately, how a meeting went. And that you treat the people you meet the way you would want your own sister or brother treated. Conduct that puts another member at risk ends your membership, immediately and without refund.

Once contact details are exchanged

Your conversation then moves off this service. We cannot see it and we do not moderate it. If something goes wrong, tell us at hello@wellintroduced.com — a person reads every message, and we would rather hear a concern that turns out to be nothing than miss one that wasn’t.

Your account

You can pause at any time. You can close your account whenever you like; privacy says what happens to your information afterwards.
